Matteo Alacrán, now known as Matthew Harrison, is now a powerful symbol of peace and cooperation in Aztlán. However, when his wife and daughter see Matt proclaiming that he wants to declare war on the United States, they realize something is aloof in his appearance. Come to find out that this man who claims to be Matthew Harrison is yet another clone of Matteo Alacrán, one that was rejected by the man himself. This clone believes his purpose in life is to wreak havoc on the world that rejected him. Will Matt save the world from this unlikely brother?
María raced into the hovercraft that was left by her dad. I can’t do this anymore. She thought to herself as she plopped down in the driver’s seat. The only problem is, how do I fly this thing? María knew she couldn’t stay with her father anymore. She had to run away. With the new knowledge of her mother’s existence, María knew exactly where she was going to go. Tam Lin had given her directions before she left. All she hoped was that she remembered them.
Suddenly, the engine roared. In a sudden panic, María lifted the hovercraft into the air and drove off, watching as bodyguards, now looking like small ants, ran after her. She gave a hysterical laugh as the hovercraft rose. She couldn’t believe she was actually doing this. “Convent of Santa Clara, here I come!” She laughed, revving the engine. It took María about two days to find her way to San Luis. Once there, she found her way to the Convent of Santa Clara and parked the hovercraft out front. She hopped out of the hovercraft and was greeted by two nuns. They were in a fit of hysteria. From what María gathered, they believed she was in a fit of peril. Once María calmed them down, she explained she was looking for Esperanza Mendoza. The nuns looked at each other quizzically. “I don’t think she’s available right now, is she?” One nun asked the other. “Whether she is or not, this young lady needs a good reason to visit her.” The other replied. María took a deep breath. She couldn’t believe she was actually going to say this. “My name is María Mendoza. I am her daughter. I have a sister named Emilia and my father is a Senator from the United States.” The nuns looked at the girl with wide eyes. After a moment of taking it in, they nodded. One ran off while the other walked María into the Convent. On the way the nun babbled apologies to the young lady. They approached a pair of giant wooden doors. The first nun slid out of the doors. “She’s-” she began before being interrupted by Esperanza herself, who flung the doors wide open to see her daughter. At first she said nothing. All she did was look at the young girl in utter shock, taking it in. María blushed, hoping she was all her mother hoped she would be. After a moment, Esperanza walked up to her daughter, took her hand, and asked, “Are you really my María?” A bright smile spread across María’s face. “Yes, Mama. Papa and Emilia told me you were dead. They scarred me for life, Mama. There is so much I need to tell you.” Esperanza smiled and lead her daughter into her office. “If it is about Opium, tell me everything.” The Harrisons stepped out of the airport and into the bustling parking lot. María Harrison held onto the hand of her six-year-old daughter, Emily, while Matt carried their one-year-old son, Tam. A hovercar came up to the doors and parked in front of the Harrisons.
Out of the hovercar came a large, older man, who was presumably the cab driver. He wore a plain suit with a small hat to cover the obvious balding spot on his head. He had a grey beard that seemed to be very much tamed, but the hair on his head was less so. The cab driver’s mouth opened slightly at the sight of the Harrison family. Matt stepped forward. “Hi there!” Matt held out his free hand for the cab driver to shake. “We’re the Harrisons. I’m Matthew and this is my wife, María, and our two children, Tam and Emily.” The six-year-old chirped a ‘hello’ before Matt continued. “We’re here under Esperanza Mendoza’s care for the National Meeting of Foreign Affairs. We were told a cabby would take us wherever we needed to go. Is that you?” The cab driver could only stare, dumbstruck. María, however, noticed the problem. She giggled at the realization. “Matt-” “Are you deaf?” Matt waved his free hand in the face of the dumbstruck cab driver. “Matt!” María yelled, causing him to jump a little. The cab driver was no longer dumbstruck, but smiling because he realized that María understood. “What?” Matt asked. “Don’t you recognize him?” María laughed. Matt looked at the cab driver, who simply laughed at the man’s slowness. Suddenly Matt’s eyes grew wide. “Tam Lin?” María and Tam Lin laughed at the clone. “You’re all grown up.” Tam Lin smiled, hitting Matt on the back. It was Matt’s turn to be dumbstruck. María casually took the baby from Matt so both of his hands were free. “You were dead!” Matt exclaimed. “Celia and Daft told me you died!” “I asked them to.” Tam Lin stated. “I couldn’t really have you looking for me. You had bigger problems to worry about.” “But-” Matt started, but this time María chimed in. “Matt, he’s a wanted criminal all around the world. Mama promised him a new life in the U.S. if he joined El Patrón’s guard.” Matt spun around to look at his wife. “You knew?!?” “Mama told me before we left. I reacted the same way you did, honest.” She laughed. “Now let’s get to the hotel. I’m starving and I’m sure Tam is too, aren’t you?” María said, tickling her son. “Right this way, Matt.” Tam Lin smiled, opening the door to the hovercar. Still slightly dumbstruck, Emily lead her father into the hovercar with the rest of her family in tow. Tam Lin entered last, shutting the door behind him. Everyone filed into the tomb of El Patrón. Daft Donald and Tam Lin followed behind to close the door behind the celebrating Alacráns and friends. They trotted down the stairs into the chamber where El Patrón kept his treasures. Mr. Alacrán opened up a bottle of wine while Felicia handed out glasses.
Tam Lin pulled Daft Donald aside. “Follow me,” He whispered. Daft obeyed as Tam Lin lead him by a giant harp case that El Patrón had gotten for his 367th birthday. Felicia happily came by, handing Tam Lin and Daft Donald glasses. “Celebrate!” She exclaimed, tripping over her own feet. “El Patrón is dead and we are all free of his wrath!” She wandered off to hand out more glasses. Mr. Alacrán came by, drunk, and poured wine into their glasses. When he left, Tam Lin whispered, “Just put it down. Don’t drink it.” Daft obeyed, setting his glass on the top of a Chinese-imported table El Patrón got for his 214th birthday. Tam Lin set his glass down too and quietly opened the harp case. There was a hole in the case that lead to a hole in the wall. Tam Lin shoved Daft inside, shutting the door behind him as they were engulfed in darkness. Tam Lin pulled out two torches, handing one to Daft Donald. “These tunnels are the tunnels of El Patrón’s bodyguards, for if the event ever arose that the old scorpion died. He only told his personal bodyguards about the plan if he died, but none of them ever lived to see it, except for me, of course. Work on the tunnel has been passed down from bodyguard to bodyguard. There was a journal in my room that bodyguards would write in to let the next one know about the progress. It was finished about two guards before me. Here we are.” They reached a fork in the tunnel. “Now take these to Celia.” Tam Lin handed him two envelopes. One was labeled for Celia, the other for Matt. Daft Donald gave Tam Lin a look when he saw Matt’s. “He’ll be back in Opium, I promise. Knowing Esperanza she’ll use Matt to take down Opium. Just promise me they will get these letters, okay?” Daft nodded, but gave another quizzical look. How did Tam Lin know Senator Mendoza’s wife? “Now you’re going to go left. It leads back to the house. I’m going to go right. It leads to the United States border patrol. Esperanza has informed them that I’ll be coming.” Seeing the confused look on Daft’s face made Tam Lin give a heartfelt chuckle. “It’s a long story, Daft. Let’s just say she and I are old friends. I lived a terrible life, but she made up for it. She had me become one of El Patrón’s bodyguards so she can get inside information. I told her he was dead, so she told the United States I was coming. They’re going to give me a new life. New name, new home, everything. I’ll probably never see you again, Daft. I want to thank you for everything.” Daft smiled in response and hugged the Scotsman. After that was finished Daft nodded and the two went their separate ways. ****Cut to Matt’s story & him coming back to Opium. Celia and Daft tell Matt that Tam Lin died with the rest of the Alacráns and El Patrón’s ‘property.’ Matt will go on to change his name from Matteo Alacrán to Matthew Harrison and help Esperanza Mendoza in politics.****

Opening Statement
On November 22, 1963, thousands of Americans tuned into their President, John F. Kennedy, campaigning for the next election year in Dallas, Texas. People crowded the streets to see their beloved leader. In his limousine, President Kennedy waved to his public, his handsome face smiling to the world. *slams fist on table* BAM! Jackie Kennedy reached to the back of the limousine, frantically collecting the brains of her late husband as his corpse goes limp. The citizens of the United States freeze at the gunshot. People of Dallas run for their lives and the President is rushed to the hospital. At 2:30pm, President John F. Kennedy is declared dead. This man, Mr. Lee Harvey Oswald, was found an hour after the assassination, murdering a Dallas officer. He was arrested, and now we have the evidence to prove he is the assassin who killed our beloved President. Defense council may give their opening statement. Closing Statement Jury, your Honor, you’ve seen the evidence, you’ve seen crime, some of you may have even seen the murder. The defense may claim their client _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________, But we know the truth. How can you possibly let the assassin run free? Did the United States let John Wilkes Booth live after he assassinated President Lincoln? A brave union soldier made sure he paid for his crime. Will you stand by and not let Oswald pay for his? Thanks to this man a nation lost a leader, a father, a husband, and a friend. The children have no father. The possibilities of what could have been are now dusts in the wind of history thanks to this man. Choose wisely my comrades, you’re making history. In my class we were put into a group and told to create a news broadcast. Below are my contributions to this broadcast that sadly was not filmed.
